The Numbers Mystery

Let us start by saying that the numbers were actually a very simple concept back in the day. The rate per kilogram for a particular quality of tobacco and the number of ingredients that were added to it led to the naming of the product. The higher the “number”, the greater the strength and variety of ingredients. Thereby making BABA 600 the absolute epitome of quality in the tobacco business.

While the prices have changed drastically over the years, our core has not. We still ensure the exact same quality of product per variant as our forefathers did. Thus, building a brand that is consistent with quality and maintains the integrity of the product.

How is it Made?

Raw tobacco, selected according to leaf superiority, is mixed with perfumes extracted from flowers. Adding silver leaves is the next stage and then the mixture is treated with an array of selected spices which include saffron and other edible aromatic spices. The resultant powder is a fine dark brown powder with sparks of silver.

Processing & Packaging

Sieving, in the early years was done manually and today has become an entirely mechanized process where even the size of tobacco can be controlled.

After sieving, the final product is packed in jute bags and is ready for further processing in labs. The finished product is then packed in pouches and tins.
