Our Contribution Towards Community Development

2017-18
DPPCL has been continually making social investments to address the needs ofthe Community and is committed to improve the community well being by taking sustainable initiatives in the areas of Education, Health, Community Development and response to natural calamities.
DPPCL collaborated with few Non-Profit charitable Organizations during the year 2017-18 and joined hands in projects that impacted the lives of multiples. The supporting organizations and the projects are as follows: -
Noida Lok Manch
Noida Lok Manch, a non—profit charitable society, established in 1997 with the vision to improve the quality of life of the poor and needy through development in the fields of Health and Education. This organisation has been running few schools for the underprivileged children in rural areas.DPPCL assisted the schools under Noida Lok March and facilitated the construction work by renovating the classrooms and re-flooring, the activity halls and playgrounds of Sanskar School, Noida. As in the past years, we have continued to contribute towards ’One Nutritious Meal’ through out the year for the under privileged children of the school. Apart from this, we have also provided school shoes of better quality for the children of the Sanskar School. The company sponsored the amount of Rs. 7.2 lacs per year for this noble cause to the organisation.
Shantidevi Murlidhar Educational Society
Shantidevi Charitable Trust (SDCT) provides supplementary education to over 6500 children in 8 Slums in New Delhi. It also runs Infant Day-Care Centre, vocational classes for ladies and a Health-Clinic in these slums. The trust also affiliates after — school tuition to almost 4250 children in Amritsar. DPPCL made a contribution of Rs. 70 lacs towards development programs for child education. -

Noida Lok Manch
Noida Lok Manch, a non-profit charitable Society, established in 1997 with the vision to improve the quality of life of the poor and needy through development in the fields of Health and Education. This organisation has been running few Schools for the underprivileged children in rural areas.DPPCL assisted the schools by undertaking renovation of classrooms and re- flooring of activity hall of Sanskar School, Noida. We also contributed towards ‘One Nutritious Meal a day’ to the School Children, throughout the year. The company has provided financial assistance of Rs. 4.6 lacs during the year to this organisation.
Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation
The Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation, established in 1980, envisions a world where every child can live freely with dignity and have the fundamental fight to be free, safe, healthy and educated thereby realizing their potential. To affiliate the foundation and its goal to tackle violence against children abuse, lack of education and lack of health, DPPCL extended a helping hand through financial contribution of Rs. 12 lacs.Shantidevi Murlidhar Educational Society

DPPCL made a contribution to assist the organization with the equipment purchase and arrangement of event for underprivileged children. -
2015-16
The DPPCL Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee has formulated the CSR policy and has recommended the activities to be undertaken by the company as specified under the revised schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013.
During the year 2015-16, the company had undertaken CSR activities mainly in areas of:
- Children Nutrition & Education Program.
- Development of Physically Challenged & Health Assistance Program.
- Natural Calamity and Other Social Cause.
A. Children Nutrition & Education Program
For the Children Nutrition and Educational Infrastructure Programme, DPPCL has collaborated with following Non Profit Organisations:1. Noida Lok Manch
Noida Lok Manch is a non-profit organisation and it has various aided schools/institutes for Children Education & Skill Development in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. DPPCL has collaborated with Noida Lok Manch & been actively involved in the following:- One Nutritious Meal to underprivileged students.
- Noida Lok Manch School’s New Classrooms Construction.
- Basic education amenities including stationary items, school dress etc. to the underprivileged students.
2. Om Shanti Retreat
The institution has set up an educational and training campus for northern India named “Om Shanti Retreat Centre" (ORC). ORC is a recognized regional resource centre of Union HRD Ministry for Education in Human Values. We have considered their educational initiatives and made a donation towards promotion of their educational programmes.3. SUDEVA
Sudeva is a non-profit organisation involved in creating platform for underprivileged children, who have been facing the hard realities of life such that they can be mentally and physically rehabilitated through sports. Through Sudeva. DPPCL has contributed towards the following:- Sports Camps for underprivileged children.
- Educational programmes.
B. Health Assistance Programme to Physically Challenged
For providing health assistance to physically challenged people and development of their skills, we are working with the following non-profit organisations:1. Mahaveer Seva Sadan
Mahveer Seva Sadan is committed to the cause of the Physically Challenged irrespective of their caste, creed or sex. The organisation have been distributing artificial limbs free of cost & has also set up training centres for handicaps in order to improve the income and quality of life. Their vocational training programs helps the people in acquiring skills, which will help them throughout the life in finding jobs, ways to earn money, etc. DPPCL has contributed towards the programs undertaken by the NGO as given below:- Purchase of HDPE pipes, Cotton Stockinet, Nylon Stockinet, etc. for manufacturing of artificial limbs.
- Purchase of Jaipur Foot, Caliper Knee Joint & Thigh Bend for manufacture of artificial limb.
2. Manovikas Kendra
Manovikas Kendra is involved in various researches on Neurodevelopmental Disorders through its Biomedical Research Center. The center is pioneer in the field of research on Childhood Neurodevelopmental disorders in the country. DPPCL has assisted this NGO by contributing funds for undertaking the following activities:- Assessment & Recruitment of researchers.
- Purchase of essential consumables.
- Sports Camps for underprivileged children.
- Educational programmes.
C. Other Social Causes
1. Natural Calamity Relief
Understanding the social responsibility, DPPCL has contributed relief material for the Earthquake victims in Nepal.2. DPPCL has also contributed funds for the residents at RWA Surya Vihar, UP. The funds had been paid for providing basic amenities to the RWA and construction of Reading Room.

The DPPCL Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR Committee) has undertaken various CSR activities during the year 2014-15 as specified under the revised Schedule VII of the Companies Act 2013, mainly in the area of Health, Education & Child Development as given below:
A. Children Nutrition & Education Programme
With a vision of helping child malnutrition that is widely prevalent in India, DPPCL continued to provide support to the underprivileged children of Sanskar Kendra School, Noida.Under this programme, DPPCL provides one nourishing meal, a day and basic education amenities to the underprivileged children through Noida Lok Manch, which is a Non Profit Organisation and has various aided schools/institutes for Children Education & Skill Development. Our ongoing support to the organisation was well received and met with significant acclaim as it has contributed towards significant improvement in student attendance and performing well in their academics.
B. Skill Development Programme For Physically Challenged
DPPCL purpose is not just to facilitate the Handicap & Physically challenged people with free prosthesis, however we wanted to go further and help them in acquiring skills, which will help them throughout the life in finding jobs, etc.To help the physically challenged people, DPPCL has given financial assistance to a NGO Mahavir Seva Sadan in Kolkata who specialize in implementing the 'Employment Enhancing Vocational Skills Programme' especially for Handicap & Physically challenged people. With our financial assistance Mahavir Seva Sadan has distributed artificial limbs, calipers, etc. free of cost to physically challenged persons.
C. Training & Development of Underprivileged Children of Society
DPPCL has provided financial assistance to an NGO SUDEVA. The NGO Sudeva has created a platform where underprivileged kids are selected from various schools and further trained by organized football clubs coaches for the child to become an international level player. Our donation was utilized in promotion of Football in various rural areas of Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, etc.D. Health Program
The Company has contributed financial assistance for development of research centers set up a NGO Manovikas Kendra, Kolkata which is involved in various research works on Neurodevelopmental Disorders through its Biomedical Research Center. The amount contributed by DPPCL has been utilized for assessment & recruitment of researchers and purchase of essential consumables required for the research work undertaken by the NGO.
