Counterfeiting is an ever-growing side industry in India and in the wake of these developments it has become increasingly crucial to prevent counterfeiting of Baba Products as there are often replicas, especially of our pan masala and chewing tobacco products, that become available in the market. To counter this we have adopted a fairly simple approach towards distinguishing our products from the fake ones.

The BABA App has been created keeping the need for authentication in mind. The app enables consumers to scan the QR code on their purchase and confirm whether the product is genuine or counterfeit. Within the product package, there is a bilingual insert with a step-by-step explanation of how to use the app and authenticate a purchase.
